Anne Moroney Youth Services’ March 2007 Employee
of the Month

Mollye M. Furch has been chosen as Anne Moroney Youth Services' March 2007 Employee of the Month. Mollye completed her Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1998. Since her employment, Mollye has concentrated the majority of her time and effort in the Okmulgee County Outreach Program. On March 1, 2007 she became the agency's interim Shelter Home Coordinator.
Mollye has provided Character Counts! and PATHS education to students from Pre-K through the 5th grades this past year. The Character Counts! curriculum encourages students to learn the six pillars of character, respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship and caring. For the four years prior to coming to Anne Moroney Youth Services, Mollye taught a similar curriculum through the Boy Scouts. The PATHS curriculum encourages students to identify their feelings and helps them find appropriate ways to express their feelings.
As the interim Shelter Home Coordinator, Mollye is recruiting individuals or families that would be interested in being a shelter home. This is an opportunity for someone to open their home to a child who may not be able to stay at his or her own home for a few days or a few weeks. In addition, Mollye works with our current shelter home families and the children that are placed with them.
Congratulations, Mollye! If you would like further information about the services Anne Moroney Youth Services' offer, please contact us at (918)623-9005 or (918)756-7700.
