Anne Moroney Youth Services’ October 2006 Employees of the Month

Rose Gouthier and Jawanna Wheeler have been chosen as Anne Moroney Youth Services’ October 2006 Employees of the Month.

Rose and Jawanna are Family Support Workers in Okmulgee County. As Family Support Workers they provide in-home parent education and parent child interactive activities to families with children from birth to 5 years of age. Both Rose and Jawanna are certified Parent As Teachers Instructors. The Parents As Teachers curriculum promotes parents to be their children’s best first teachers. Rose and Jawanna also provide parent education classes in the community.

Rose has been with Anne Moroney Youth Services for more than 5 years. Rose also successfully completed here Bachelor’s Degree in December 2005 while working full time.

Jawanna Wheeler joined the agency almost 6 months ago. Jawanna may be a new employee but she has worked with the agency through other programs for more than 10 years.
